Swami Aseshananda passed away October 16, 1996. He is much beloved and revered by many devotees and students in America and senior Swamis of the Ramakrishna Order in America and India. He came to Portland in 1955 and never returned to India.

Swami Aseshananda at Cannon Beach, Oregon Swami used to take all visitors to visit Mt. Hood, which he likened to Lord Shiva, and to Cannon Beach, where he considered the ocean the symbol of the Divine Mother. |
